Loki
The Car:
I received my MR2 in June of 1999. It is a 1991 Toyota MR2 Turbo. (More information on these cars can be found on the International MR2 Owner's Club web site) You could say my car is a little rare, in that it has the sunroof option and came with no foglights from the factory (unlike most turbos). It is a fairly early production car (April of 90) and this may account for the anomalies in options.

The Story:
The car was purchased by my father in 1992 when it was a little over a year old, and with about 15,000 miles on the clock. He named the car 'LOKI' after the Norwegian God of Mischief -- a fitting name as anyone who owns one of these cars can tell you. Over the years he enjoyed the car very much in it's stock form, despite my urging for him to modify it (at least with some wheels). He decided it was time for a new car in 99 and was going to sell Loki, but I prevailed upon him as I would need a fuel efficient car (which most muscle cars are NOT) when I went away to college that fall to finish my Mechanical Engineering degree.

KORacing:
I drove the car for a year after I got it in 99 before starting on the path of modifications. I was disturbed by the high cost of the modifications and parts for these cars, (coming from a muscle car background) and so decided to make my own parts using fabrications skills I have acquired over 10 years of working on and upgrading automobiles. The fact that parts I made were very effective led me to attempt to start a business selling them to other mr2 owners. Thus KO Racing was born.
