Beyond providing a simple pinout and connector interface for true plug-and-play installation, we have gone a step further by integrating provisions for an on-board 4 or 7 bar MAP sensor and an optional on-board wideband controller with ECU-programmable power control. These features can dramatically reduce installation complexity and wiring time. Installation can be as simple as routing a vacuum line from the intake manifold and a wideband sensor cable to the ECU. Plug in your USB cable, connect the ECU to the vehicle, and start tuning.
Designed to fit within the factory Lexus LS400 1UZ-FE non-VVTi ECU enclosure
NOTE: Price does NOT include a Link Plug-In ECU control board or ECU case, but does include a 1UZ-FE non-VVTi base startup calibration. The base calibration is intended only to start and run the engine. Final tuning by an experienced calibrator is required. Failure to properly tune the vehicle may result in serious engine damage.
NOTE: This adapter board has been specifically designed with automatic transmission vehicles in mind. Additional onboard circuitry provides shift solenoid control capability through integrated MOSFET outputs, while multiple factory gear position signals are converted into a single analog input for the Link ECU. These features simplify installation, reduce required ECU I/O usage, and make retaining the factory automatic transmission significantly easier than with a traditional standalone ECU installation.
NOTE: The compatible Link Plug-In ECU control boards provide six injector drives. To accommodate the eight injectors used by the Lexus 1UZ-FE, this adapter board is configured for semi-sequential fuel injection. Four injector outputs are utilized, with injectors paired and fired together. This allows full fuel control of all eight injectors while maintaining compatibility with the available Plug-In ECU hardware. It should also be noted that semi-sequential injection was utilized by several OEM Toyota/Lexus 1UZ-FE engine management systems, including the 1993-1994 LS400 ECUs and likely earlier model years as well. For the vast majority of street, performance, and motorsport applications, there is no measurable impact on drivability, power output, or engine operation compared to fully sequential injection.
NOTE: ECU case is not included with adapter board purchase. You must reuse and modify your original ECU case to allow for wiring and expansion connections as required.
NOTE: This is NOT a Link ECU tested, verified, or warranted product. Use of this product may void your warranty with Link and may result in Link declining technical support. Purchase of this product constitutes acceptance and understanding of these conditions. This is a custom KO Racing adapter product designed for use with compatible Link Plug-In ECU hardware. Please contact KO Racing with any questions or support needs related to the adapter board, as Link will not provide support for custom adapter installations.
KO Racing is not affiliated with Link ECU in any way. This product is offered to expand the capabilities and applications of the Link ECU product line to additional vehicle platforms not directly supported by Link.
*Recommended*: Use a compatible Link G4X Plug-In ECU as the donor control board for this adapter. Compatible Link Plug-In ECUs are available from KO Racing here.
